This is a little something to familiarize you with this unique race.

The insidis are a large race. Their adult heights top out around 7 ½-9 feet for males and 6 ½-7 ½ feet for females on average. Naturally, there are some bigger and some smaller but that is the norm. The insidis also tend to be wide shoulder to shoulder as opposed to belly to back where the increase in dimensions from humans is simply noticeable. This is one reason the common slang term for a female is "fin".

In skin color the insidis are generally pale and almost a light pastel blue in hue. Their appearance of ghostly white to the soft blue varies greatly. Their hair ranges from a bright golden yellow to bleach white (never any shades of red) and even an occasional light green (rare, but possible).

The eyes of the insidis are their most telling trait. Their eyes are all milky white and appear to have a screen or sheet of white over the iris and pupil for a stunning look that appears almost vacant. Their pupils are generally indistinguishable from their irises and will be any shade of grey from pure white to dark grey.

At this point it would make sense to mention that Insidis do not see in quite the same way as we humans do. Imagine seeing our world in a washed out kind of way. Images are not as sharp, colors more faded, light and dark are harder for them to tell between. It’s almost as if they see the world "as though through a glass, darkly."

Not only is their sense of vision less but so are their senses of taste, smell, and even hearing. The insidis prefer incredibly spicy food with simple, yet bold, tastes as everything else tastes pretty blah to them. Their tongues are simply unable to distinguish the finer differences in the food they eat unless difference is very pronounced and in abundance. Part of this is contributed to by a weak sense of smell nearly half that of a human.

Instead of human style ears, an insidis has seal-like ear hole on either side of their head about where a human ear might be. A small flap of skin hangs over the font half. It makes sense then, that the insidis wear their hair at least chin length and pulled back in a pony tail, male and female alike. Their sense of hearing and sense of balance is only slightly less than a human. However, they are able to hear events occurring in the spiritual realm around them. This includes the speech of messengers and shadowed and even the warfare between the two.

Their vision also takes in the spiritual realm as though it is a foreground to the world’s background. They can see the messengers, shadowed, and spiritual events that take place such as what occurs at the time of death and foul abuses of the soul. This spiritual realm they see in much better detail and clarity than the physical realm.

Another interesting attribute of the insidis is derived from their affinity to the spiritual realm. They are able to dreamwalk, or abide in someone else’s dreams. To do so, they must first be in physical contact and remain in physical contact during the entirety of the dream walk. This is a very dangerous endeavor, however, as injury they sustain within the dream is taken upon their physical body. When walking a dream their herebs quit their bodies and abide within the mind/dream of the person whose dream they are walking. It is impossible to gain control over a body this way, they are merely a guest tapping into the other’s nervous system. Should the dreamer awaken before they exit, they will become trapped within the mind of that person and unable to communicate with anyone except the dreamer when they dream again.

They may also inhabit a special metal called actium when it is forged in a certain way into small or large spheres called anchors. The hereb is able to act upon two anchors (so long as some other solid piece connects them) and pull them together much like a muscle. Specially built robots are made by the Tower of Gilead with this idea in mind to aid in everything from construction, medicine, and even war. When this is done the robots are called "Animatoids".

The insidis have a very distinct cultural flare to them that affects them wherever they settle. They are social creatures through and through and despise being alone for any large amount of time (a day or more). They tend to live in one spot their whole lives and nearby their family. Often an extended family will take over a city block, large building, or live near each other in series of buildings on a farm.

They tend to live longer than humans by almost 20 more Choaradian orbits (about 75 on average), or to about 90 earth years as a median age.

Their bodies are definitely stronger as one might guess from their size. Their preferred weapon is a large warhammer or morningstar, although they tend to be very gentle in temperament. Just don’t threaten their friends or family.

Insidis tend to be "the salt of the earth" kinds of people, but when they go bad it is usually with an amazing or unique flare that would stun even the most jaded criminal or madman.
